Yangmingshan & Houtong

I know I'm only just posting now, but it's because I've been incredibly busy. Anyway, these pictures were from last summer, after I came back from my trip to Lanyu. I went to Yangmingshan (陽明山) and Houtong Cat Village (猴硐) with my cousin. 

Houtong is a cat village with about a hundred stray cats walking about freely. The cats are healthy and well-fed, cared for by a team of volunteers. It's a good place to visit, especially if you love cats. Here are a few pictures:

The following day, we went to Yangmingshan. Yangminghsan was bigger than I thought. We had to take several small buses in order to get from one area to another

Lanyu, day 3: Last day.

At four o'clock in the morning, my dad and I woke up suddenly and discovered it was almost like a typhoon outside. It's hard to tell from this photo, but it was raining and windy. I was wondering how we were going to get home, but thankfully it was sunny the next morning.

We rode on the mountain this time, but the roads were too steep to go any further. I was so scared of the heights.

... but it was a dead end, so we turned around.

Beautiful Lanyu. I had such a great time!

The boat trip back was amazing! I didn't vomit, and storms came once in a while, so I was really glad we brought raincoats.
