This is my World, too

Here are some one panel comics that I drew last month and this month.

Squirrel: "All we want is a place to live! I ask you to stop constructing factories over our home, and preserve the land for us!"

Man to his boss: "The company has agreed to do business with us."
Boss: "$"

"I wouldn't recommend this planet. Want to try someplace else?"

"Look at these modern humans! Their lives are so convenient. Devices like these can do almost anything, including listening to music, take pictures, call, and a lot of other stuff I don't understand. I certainly wouldn't mind living here!"

"Stop! When I said the greenhouse effect is a threat, I didn't mean that greenhouse! Now put that axe down!"

Hsinchu: Sogo

My mom and I went to Hsinchu on Monday, and stayed there until Wednesday morning, to see my aunt and my cousins. My grandparents and another cousin of mine from Taipei came to visit as well. My cousins and I did a lot of fun activities, and did a lot of walking, too. We went swimming, ate at a nice restaurant, and went to Sogo, a nice shopping mall. But we only went to the bookstore, which is fine because we love to read. (The picture on the left is my cousin with her sister's Itouch over her eyes. Reminded me of X-Men's Cyclops.)

My aunt and my cousins moved to a new area a year ago, so it was the first time my mom and I visited their new apartment. The view was nice to look at, and I loved the cozy breeze. Anyway, here are some pictures! (The picture on the right is my cousins' dog, Creamy.)

Monday, morning:

Tuesday:

On our way to a bus station.

After walking to find the bus stop for what seemed like an eternity, we finally found it.

We arrived after a very headachey trip on the bus.

My lunch: Korean Style Rice with Pork.

My cousin's Rice with Eggs and Meat over the top.

My Frozen Yogurt Chocolate ice cream. Anybody envious?

We sat by the pond to enjoy our ice cream.

The fish hastened to retrieve the cracker that my cousins threw in the pond.

We returned to that same restaurant that night.

Wednesday:

My mom and I at the Hsinchu HSR station.

Did a lot of traveling, my mom and I.

Home is where you can see pretty decorated trains.

Typhoon

A typhoon came to Taiwan the day before yesterday. That night, we heard the wind blowing hard outside. It was quite scary. Good thing I slept well. The cold air made things more comfortable, but the hard wind blowing against my window was not comforting. The next morning, which was yesterday, the results came out like this. Look at our backyard!

Our lawn mower was in the yard (how did it end up there!?), along with a bunch of other things. This was one frightening typhoon. Moreover, my brother and I had to walk our dog like this in the weather. We wore a raincoat and a helmet, and steered clear of tall trees, which was a good idea. We saw a light pole on the ground, many tree branches and leaves, and the sewers were filled with water. It was a mess! Walking a dog in this weather is not recommended. 

Well, right now, the typhoon has calmed down a bit. However, I hear another one is coming next week. Prepare for another terrifying experience!
