Teeth Accident in 2005.

I wrote this poem yesterday, and it is about an incident I had in the summer of 2005.

Swimming in a big pool,

going into a long slide.

Playing and acting cool,

trying to go with the tide.

Out I come and hit the water.

I was clearly lost in there.

Nobody had bothered me then.

I was minding my own affairs.

All of a sudden,

at the slide a man comes out.

His knee hit my face,

but I did not cry out loud.

My front teeth were bleeding and moving.

"Sorry," said the man and disappeared.

My brother looked shocked when he saw me.

Comforting words were all he could say.

We got up and found our mom and dad.

Seeing me, they looked shocked and terrified.

The man looked like he did nothing bad.

Right then, I was angry and felt I died.

They drove me to the hospital.

There, they gave me a brace.

And I had thought I met my doom.

We drove back to our place.

Like the poem said, I was just sliding down the big, red slide, lost in the water, then something hits my face. When I got out of the water, the man just apologized and wondered off. My parents, after they spoke to the man - and his wife blamed me for playing in front of the slide - drove me to the emergency room. It was a kids' pool! For kids to play in, not adults! I had not realized how bad I looked until I saw my teeth in the mirror in the bathroom, and I was shocked (Like everyone else who saw my teeth). I remembered this happened on a Sunday because the dentist had nobody in it. My dad sat next to me, held my hand every time I was in pain when the doctor tried to pull my teeth forward, or something. The doctor put a small brace on my front teeth. I wore that brace for about two weeks.

My Favorite Places in Taiwan

Taiwan is a wonderful place to live. Many places in Taiwan are fun. For example, Taroko Gorge offers beautiful scenery. At Flying Cow Farm visitors can feed goats, ride on horses and eat ice cream all day long. At Kenting you can go swimming at the beach there. These are all fun, but my favorite places are Hsinchu, Taichung and Taipei because they are so much fun.

The reason I like going to Hsinchu is because my cousins are there. They have a big house and we can play many kinds of games. Can go swimming, camping, hiking there. But since my cousins are moving into another house, and it is small I heard, there really is no point going there. During the New Year's day, all the family members will gather in my cousins house, because Hsinchu is between Taipei And Taichung, only a one hour trip. However, Hsinchu has not much places to go to. I am not so familiar with Hsinchu.

Taichung is a friendly place to me. I know lots of people in Taichung because it is my hometown. Know where the places are, and never get lost. I have lots of friends here, and they are so good to me. Everywhere I go people know us. When you pass by them, you can give them a wave. If you need help, you aren't afraid to ask. You can joke around with them, and most of all, you can trust them. But the only problem is, if we know some people, we have to stay and chat, and sometimes, I really don't like that. But other then that, I have lived in Taichung for six years and I love this place.

Taipei is my favorite place. Taipei has many places you can go to. For example, Taipei zoo, has all kinds of animals there. You can take pictures enjoy the view, and there is a little mall there you can shop. There is a game section where all the games are. You can always ride the subway which is fun. At Taipei 101, tallest building ever, you can ride the elavator, but it feels weird, because elavator is very fast! When you go up there, you can see the wonderful views they have up there. There is a ice cream stand there, but the ice creams are very expensive. There are teloscopes there to look down. Taipei 101 also has a basement. A food court. Lots of good food. Of course besides the Taipei zoo and Taipei 101, there are many places you could go to! You can shop around, night markets there, and all kinds of stores there. Lots of restaurants. Good food, too. And my family is here, most of them. And I have a few friends in Taipei, too. The only problem about Taipei is that, it is too crowded! Especially on the weekends, it is so crowded! And it takes two hours driving from Taichung to Taipei, so it is such a pain because I get carsick so easily. And I don't really know anybody.

Well, I had fun going to these places. Families and friends are there. Taichung is friendly but don't like to chat with other people ( except with my friends ). Hsinchu, well, I know nothing about it. Taipei is a lot of fun, but sitting in a car for two hours is a pain. But these are my favorite places. I had a lot of fun going there.

DPP Rally December 20

On Sunday, we went to a DPP rally because we did not want the EFCA. I later heard that about 60 to 70 thousand people came.
