Lanyu, day 3: Last day.

At four o'clock in the morning, my dad and I woke up suddenly and discovered it was almost like a typhoon outside. It's hard to tell from this photo, but it was raining and windy. I was wondering how we were going to get home, but thankfully it was sunny the next morning.

Goats took shelter from the storm last night.

Pigs did not.

Taiwan can be seen in the background.

We rode on the mountain this time, but the roads were too steep to go any further. I was so scared of the heights.

We went back to the place we went to yesterday. This time, we walked in another direction.

... but it was a dead end, so we turned around.

We went in search of lunch.

Beautiful Lanyu. I had such a great time!

The boat trip back was amazing! I didn't vomit, and storms came once in a while, so I was really glad we brought raincoats.

Selfie with my dad! We were soaked but glad everything turned out to be fine, and we had a very adventurous time on the boat, as well as on Lanyu.

Lanyu, day 2: Around the Island

Day two! My dad and I were so exhausted from yesterday's trip that we hit the sack at seven thirty only. It worked out well because we managed to get up before six o'clock, which means that we could have an early breakfast and start touring the island!

We walked around the little town in search of breakfast.

Came upon a couple of pigs.

..and chickens.

Finally found a breakfast place! I had a hamburger, which turned out to be quite good.

They like to grow taro here.

Came across another village.

Got a shot of Dad getting a shot of the ocean.

A boy brought his two dogs and they started chasing the goats around, but the goat outran them.

We found out the dogs were only teasing them.

I used to see those boats in my textbooks a lot when I was in elementary school, so seeing them for real was utterly cool.

It was my turn to climb it. The colors down there were extraordinary.

This place was one of my favorite places on the island. It was incredibly beautiful here.

My dad and I went to visit the old village.

We followed what was left of the river back. It was a huge challenge, since it wasn't easy walking on those rocks.

Later that afternoon, we went to look at some more places.
