Typhoon

A typhoon came to Taiwan the day before yesterday. That night, we heard the wind blowing hard outside. It was quite scary. Good thing I slept well. The cold air made things more comfortable, but the hard wind blowing against my window was not comforting. The next morning, which was yesterday, the results came out like this. Look at our backyard!

Our lawn mower was in the yard (how did it end up there!?), along with a bunch of other things. This was one frightening typhoon. Moreover, my brother and I had to walk our dog like this in the weather. We wore a raincoat and a helmet, and steered clear of tall trees, which was a good idea. We saw a light pole on the ground, many tree branches and leaves, and the sewers were filled with water. It was a mess! Walking a dog in this weather is not recommended.

Well, right now, the typhoon has calmed down a bit. However, I hear another one is coming next week. Prepare for another terrifying experience!

  1. OMG That looks so... disturbing. It's like when there was a tsunami here. And there's another one next week? Gosh.

I know! It's just so unfair. And it seems that the maniac guy Tweeted, "hope you meet me in prison".

I'm gonna go check that out, because I'm starting to *try* to like other anime. Which I really shouldn't be doing. Thanks anyway :)

  2. Thank you :D Actually, I'm interested in psychology (please tell me if I spelled that right) but I don't read psychology books. I think it's a factor of humans that leaves us thinking, pondering really, and wondering why we're really alive. After all the "good" we've done to Earth, I mean. No offense, if that seemed offensive.

I hope you guys stay okay there :)

LOL about the anime. I don't watch more than twice a week, really.

Okay, so I've discovered a few awesome songs, and it'd be nice if you tried them:
    Misery - Green Day
Hotel Yorba - The White Stripes
Homecoming - Green Day *must listen*
    London Calling - The Clash

Oh, and please recommend me a few songs :D As you know, I'm drunk on music.

  3. LOL :D the pink ones were rather disgusting to eat, though.

I had my English exam yesterday, and there was a question where I had to write about humanity and the environment. My article was quite lame, but I could post it when I get back my answer sheet.

Well it's a good thing you like it when people tell you about songs - a few friends of mine think I'm bugging them. I'm in love with Homecoming :D Thanks for the songs! :D

  4. Why don't you post those comics? I'd sure love to read them. Or maybe you could publish them :D

My friends like stuff like hip hop and dance music. Though I do have a friend who likes Queen and Jethro Tull :) like you say, pop has no 'feel' to it. I mean, you'd love to shake your head/tap your feet to some rock or... Well, rock, but you just can't sing along to pop music.

  5. I disappeared for a while again, unfortunately. I've been taking driver's classes, running with the cross country team at my school, doing karate, and volunteering, so I've been slacking a bit on blogging.

I hope you and your family are doing well. That typhoon looks really, really frightening. I've never had to deal with stuff like that where I live, but earlier last month we had a terrible thunderstorm, and some people lost power for more than a week.

Going back to your past comment...I picked physics over chemistry. I originally signed up for chemistry, but found out that I would have to take it with a really bad teacher, which is why I switched last minute.

  6. Aw :)

Oh well, I realize there isn't much to comment about :D Tomorrow's our Independence Day and we're having a holiday, on which we have to study French. :D

    Have a great day!
