This is going to be a long post. After we got off the bus from Hsinchu, we took the subway back to my grandparents'. We spent the last few days in Taipei. On Sunday, we went to Keelung. We went to eat at a famous market and look at temples. We went back home on Tuesday.
Feb. 4th.
When we got home, we ate nian-gou, which means "sticky cake".
It was quite good. Not very sweet, thank goodness.
My Ahma cooked it.
We prepared for our meal.
The next day we went to Keelung with my grandparents, my aunt and my uncle, my mom, and my cousins.
Feb. 5th
My cousin is getting taller! Scary..
A lady sold some sushi.
We decided to drop by the house my mom grew up in.
There it is!
My Ahma's old friend. What a coincidence!
We walked back to the car and drove to another market.
Sold chicken on the side.
Bought some food.
It was delicious.
The street.
A woman delivered ice to whoever needed it.
We stopped by to have our... meal.
The restaurant.
Soup.
We went over to watch someone make the rolls.
His restaurant.
The entrance where we came in.
Chopsticks in the sky with noodles.
This was delicious.
The lady was kind enough to open the cover for me.
My cousins bought chestnuts for themselves.
The crowded streets.
After we crossed the street, my mom went to by lottery tickets with my cousins.
Ready to cross the street.
My Ahma.
I spy Nicole Kidman.
We went to buy some ice cream.
How they made the ice cream.
Another stand on the side.
My pineapple flavor ice cream.
We then drove a temple!
This is not the temple.
Constructing the entrance.
My grandparents.
A few stands on the side.
On the side of the stairs sat the Buddhas.
A big bell up on the building.
Walked up more steps.
Stopped to grab a drink.
Out in the open.
Stands for kids to play in.
We ate a few snacks.
My mom admired the beautiful temple.
Inside a little room, there lay a Buddha.
My grandparents walked into the temple.
Inside the temple.
We all stood waiting.
Us cousins posed a picture together.
We went to another area to eat our lunch.
A beetle on the ground, which scared both of my cousins.
The next day, Feb. 7th, my cousin and I went out to have lunch.
