In Taipei, day 2: My Cousin's Dance Contest

On Saturday, May 14, we went to a dance contest to watch my cousin perform. Many other people participated, and there were a total of 80 groups, and my cousin was on the 79th. Bad luck, I know. The age ranges from 6 years old (Yes, some kids know how to dance!!) to about 20 years old. The contest took place inside the metro station.

There was break in between. I sat with my cousin.

Some guys performed Michael Jackson's "Beat It". After listening to all those crappy pop songs, it was a relief to hear Michael Jackson's song.

My cousin finally got on stage, dancing to the song, "Not Myself Tonight", by Christina Aguliera.

I actually recorded to whole thing, but she didn't want anyone else to see it. I thought she did a wonderful job, and I'm not saying this just because she's my cousin. While everyone basically had the same moves and same songs, and had a teacher to teach them the moves, she did the whole thing herself. Good for you! You go, girl!

The judges made their final decisions to see who are the top 20th groups who danced best.

And that was the whole trip! Sorry it took so long to post it. We had fun, of course. :)
