Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

No spoilers!

Today, my mom, my brother, and I went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.We saw it in 3D, because there were no other choices. The 3D was converted, so it wasn't very good. I didn't particularly enjoy the 3D. I was wearing two pairs of glasses (mine and the 3D ones), and I kept adjusting the glasses. My advice is better not to see it in 3D.

Anyway, back to film. The film was amazing! It was really emotional, and I kept crying. Being a huge Harry Potter fan, that's to be expected. The action was awesome, not overdone. The fight scenes was intense. There were many emotional scenes, which was so sad. (By the way, I'm not very good at reviews, as you may have noticed.)

- Spoilers - (Unless you read the book.)

I have many favorite scenes. I really enjoyed the dragon scene from the bank, and their riding on it. I loved Snape's scenes. Some of his scenes were emotional. It was nice to see some of the characters again, which we haven't seen for a while. I loved the fight scene with the music. It was slow but nice.

No more spoilers!

We always see every Harry Potter movie in theater. So we - maybe everyone - practically grew up with these films. Now that it's over, I'm not sure what to do anymore. XD I'm really sad and heartbroken that it's over. Such a great series! We only have the first three Harry Potter movies, but I just convinced my mom to buy the rest. Of course we have to wait for the DVD for this movie.

Goodbye, Harry Potter! Thanks for making my life more magical. :D

Movies showing kids doing violence puts into kid's consciousness that violence is a viable option. This when we want to move the world towards peace and love. It undermines the modern notion of childhood as a special protected place, a notion that helps produce good people. It makes the world more violent. The reason dog fighting originally became illegal was not primarily concern for dogs. It was thought by a majority of people that the very act of witnesses dog figting, bear baiting, gloveless boxing, etc., harmed the viewer by anesthetising the viewer to violence, making the viewer a cruder, more dangerous person. This was also the rationale for the end of the human death penalty. Movies like Hannah, and The Karate Kid remake are steps backwards in the journey to civilization and peace. We, in fact, do not show child soldiers in Africa in the news barely at all. Why not? Maybe because hanging each other with wire, and hacking off limbs of people are not considered good models of behavior for our children. Neither are these movies. If I believed in banning movies, which I don't, I would ban these.
