New Year in Hinschu and Taipei

On January 24, we went to Hsinchu to celebrate New Year with the whole family. We had a good meal! Later that day, my mom and I went to Taipei with my cousin, my aunt, and my grandparents while my brother and my dad returned home. I hung around with my cousin and my grandparents. On Saturday, we went to see my Ah-ma's (grandmother) relatives! We returned home on Monday afternoon. (The picture on the left is me, and the hand is my cousin's. She drew the eye herself, using my makeup.)

Thanks to my brother for some of the pictures!

  1. Happy Chinese New Year! Lego Racers, cool! I heard there was a tradition behind red envelopes. What is it about?
And your dad and brother seem to be fun people to be with! :D Happy birthday to your grandma!
I don't understand one thing: you say "vegetarian lamb with pea sprouts" but isn't lamb in itself non-vegetarian?
Does your grandpa do English calligraphy? My brother does :P though he's a beginner.
And would you have some time to take my quiz? http://www.quizyourfriends.com/take-quiz.php?id=1202051015264578&a=1&
    Peace ^^

  3. Right NOW it's Sunday, 12th Feb, 12:32 PM.
My brother knows some basic words in Japanese (including PIG - 豚 [buta], and IDIOT - ばか [baka]). I've been learning a little with him.
Until what I've read, I think the part where Stephano - Olaf - comes back is the most surprising. And Uncle Monty dying.
Cool! I've been playing Vilgax Attacks for two years now and I still struggle at some parts where by brother has to help me. He's better at gaming but I love to do it too. I mean, I don't like playing games with a keyboard - I need a proper console and all that :)
And about the red envelopes... could you explain? :)

    Give peace a chance! xD

  4. You can check out how the story goes on here: http://ben10.wikia.com/wiki/The_Gauntlet
It's about a boy who turns into a robot and then fights and alien-human guy. The story in my post is just a little joke from Soup Nazi's NO SOUP FOR YOU! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2lfZg-apSA

I've finished the second book! IT WAS SO AWESOME!

And no, I haven't seen those posters. They're actually about Capitol people - you'll probably understand if you read the book/watch the movie.

    Peace ^^

  5. I'm not talking about Mahatma Gandhi - it's Rajiv Gandhi. PM means Prime Minister. I'll have to upload the pictures soon...
I've watched a few episodes of Seinfeld, most of them which include the Soup Nazi's catchphrase. I hope you enjoy The Hunger Games!

  6. Thank you :) I made that poster quite by accident, which means doodling skeletons on poster board and then getting this idea of "why not a poster"...
Anyways, I uploaded the pictures but I guess there will be more too because my friends are yet to send me some pictures of the Rajiv Gandhi memorial.
What kind of games does your brother play? Except Lego Racers, I mean. And you?

    Peace ^^
