Ever since my brother passed his driving test last summer, I've been warming up to the fact that it would be my turn next. And I was right.
I started driving lessons last Wednesday. In Taiwan, when a person wants a license, they have to attend a driving school everyday for an hour for a month. However, after obtaining their license, they have to be taught how to drive again, only properly this time.
When I first started driving, I could have sworn I almost crashed the car on multiple occasions. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but I panicked and let go of the wheel, which was not the brightest idea in the world. Thankfully, my instructor was super nice and patient, because I heard that many instructors at other places can be outrageously mean.
I got the hang of it at the end of the lesson. Fast forward to week later, and I know how to park the car now! This Thursday, the instructor is going to be teaching me how to drive in a "S" lane. It's going to be hard, but you go to these places to learn how to do these things. Also, my brother's advice? Keep braking.
