Two Performances

Whew! It's over! Yesterday we went to a high school to perform two songs. My brother and I played Bon Jovi's "All About Loving You" and, including my Dad singing, The Bee Gees' "I Gotta Get a Message to You." We went there earlier because we needed to know everything, where to step up on the stage, where to stand, all that.

The first song wasn't a song. It was a dance. A young girl, about 10 to 12, was dancing Wonder Girl's "Nobody." The first part of the concert was classical music. Violin, piano, recorder, and a few acoustic guitars. There was a 10 minute break in the middle, then the rock songs.

After the break, my teacher invited the teenagers to stand near the stage to cheer for the performers. No, I didn't go up. I stayed in my seat. The first rock song was Avril Lavigne's "Complicated", which many teenage girls screamed loudly. There was also Linkin Park's "New Divide", which the singer forgot the lyrics, The Cranberries's "Zombie", which my brother and I performed last year, and a couple of other Taiwanese songs. There were 12 songs total on the second part; my brother and I were on the 9th and 10th.

And us performing Bon Jovi's "All About Loving You."

We waited in a room before they called us. I walked on stage feeling a bit nervous. I could barely hear myself play! Later, I lost my nervousness, but I started sweating. A distraction! I would have enjoyed it actually, if I were not sweating!

My dad singing the BeeGees song would not be uploaded. But if you want to see it, go here. It's a rehearsal.

So, what did you think? Any questions? :)
