On Friday, my mom and I went to Taipei to visit my grandparents, my aunt, and my cousin. I haven't been there since New Year, so I was pretty excited. My other cousin stopped by on Saturday evening, and while it was great to see her, I was disappointed that her sister (my other cousin) didn't come. We stayed in Taipei until Monday morning. Here are some pictures!
In the morning, at the train station.
I always bring my Kindle everywhere we go.
My mom, very busy.
On Saturday afternoon, we went to the vegetarian restaurant.
Twice Cooked Vegetarian Pork.
Mushroom in Orange Sauce.
Sat. night: Can you believe that this is a library? I obviously haven't seen one so big in years.
A restaurant at the bottom.
The interior of the restaurant.
After dinner, we all went for a walk. Dare you enter?
My cousins and my aunt were very enthusiastic about this.
These are my grandfather's paintings.
On Sunday night, my mom, my aunt, and I went to the night market.
On Monday afternoon, my mom and I lunched at the High Speed Railroad (HSR).
I think it's great fun that you get to go to the same place again and again - no sarcasm intended. My parents, my brother and I were away for a few days and we had loads of fun. I think I'll make a post on that. Whoa, and what a big library!
I know I could have painted the thing white, but I didn't have any acrylic/fabric colors right then. It would have been so much more convenient :( I think that day's work went down the drain (check the edit on the post about The Shirt).
Yup, it can read PDF, so I can just import PDFs from the computer to the iPad. I'm currently reading Hex Hall on it. And no, I haven't heard of Neverending Story. Have you read Nevermore?
Jack White's voice is certainly cool :) He released his new album Blunderbuss yesterday! I can't wait to get the CD. I've already heard the song Sixteen Saltines from it. And he doesn't work with Meg White (his ex-wife. She and Jack were the only people on The White Stripes) so he's working solo now. He's still great!
Oh, and by the way, recommend me a bunch of songs by your favorite artists. My mission is to fill up my iPod :) My favorites are here: http://villain-girl.blogspot.in/2012/04/my-top-21-songs.html
And no, I don't get tired of it. I love to explore into new places, whether it's in reality or it's digital :P I think I'll make that post tomorrow.
That song was awesome! I'm gonna read the book. And I think you should check out shelfari.com - it's a site where you can keep your books organized in a digital shelf, whether it's books you own or books you want to own/read.
Oh, and I can't BELIEVE I messed up the title! It isn't Nevermore, it's Everlost by Neal Shusterman. My friend was talking about Nevermore and I got both of the titles mixed up :P I've not read Nevermore. Everlost is really cool, but it's not exactly YA - not many adults, a little bit of childish situations, you get the point.
Hex Hall is good, I've got 70 pages or so to finish Book 1. Have you tried reading Buffy The Vampire Slayer? People say it's really good, and it's WAY better than Twilight. So to say, anything is better than Twilight.
Yep, Jack White worked with his wife. But like I told you, he quit The White Stripes because they divorced, and he quit any other bands he was in, and started working solo a few years ago.
Evanescence is cool :) I really liked "What You Want", "Bring Me To Life" and "Everybody's Fool". Thanks for the songs! Sure will check them out.
Green Day... well, there are a LOT. My favorite would be the whole American Idiot album, but you could listen to American Idiot (the SONG), Holiday, Ha Ha You're Dead, East Jesus Nowhere, the whole Shenanigans album, the Dookie album... you know that 23 songs post I made? Check out all the Green Day songs on the list, those are my favorites :D
Ask them for a henna "tube", so it makes the job easier. You don't have to go looking for the plant :P Oh wait, I used fake tattoos when I was little! They did hurt. When you said fake tattoo, that thought didn't come to my mind :P
I remember when I used to like nail polish. It was really neat a few years ago, but recently, probably because of this happy-go-lucky thing I developed, I can never apply nail polish neatly. It's always messy! That's when I started hating it, and also because I could taste it when I ate food (long story - I used to paint my right-hand nails) and so I dumped my 6-7 bottles of nail polish. Now they're with my Mom, who doesn't use it much, either :P

I have so many books I want to read too! Most of them aren't available in India :( So I try for eBooks, and sometimes that doesn't work either.
ReplyDeleteGood to know you like the song! xD What's an MP5, by the way?
Oh, and I forgot to tell you: I don't have a REAL tattoo. It's made of henna.
