Downton Abbey

We have been watching Downton Abbey these past few days. My mom introduced the show to us, and I definitely do not repent watching it.

Downton Abbey centers in a time of 1912 leading up to World War I. It takes place in a household with a prominent family which includes their servants, maids, and other attendants.

This show is amazing. The characters are interesting, the dialogue is well-written, the sights are stunning, and the settings are top-class! (If you have seen the show, I think you would understand my use of "top-class".) So many characters are lovable and hate-able, but everyone did a fantastic job! This story will break your heart, and yet you cannot help but loving it.

We have not finished the show yet. We are only on season two. Unfortunately, since each season has only about eight episodes, I'll bet we will finish it in no time... which makes me sad.

I love this show!!

  1. Haha! Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to write. So remember that time I told you I'm working on a novel? I've put it aside for the moment to work on my Figment story, "Fishsticks". Well, the title's a bit longer than that, but yeah, you get the point. I'm trying to "polish" my skills before I get to the actual thing. xD

I wouldn't say it does. I'm trying not to include spoilers, but let's just say the MC just accepts facts as they are in the end and realizes her mistakes. But otherwise, not very satisfying. Still a great read though. :)

  2. Mm, I've heard good things about Downtown Abbey, but I haven't really watched it since it isn't telecasted on any of the channels we have on TV. :/

o.O They're making it look similar to Facebook?! (Forgive my ignorance; I'm not on Facebook. I have little time for updating my status and things like that - I'm more of the long-website-post kind of person.)

I haven't been on Flickr for months xD I guess I don't really find the need to upload pictures because I rarely post pictures anywhere. But I AM on Instagram, so I can post stuff that I find interesting directly from my iPad.

Aw that's nice, thanks! The link to the story is on my newest post, but it's still a WIP and is in need of some serious editing.

"Writers should always write satisfying or happy endings." That shouldn't always be the case, IMHO, because then, most books would be the same. :) Cliffhangers are good if there's going to be a sequel. Or, if it's a stand-alone book, and the MC dies in the end, something must be gained from the death, something that helps out the cause. If you know what I mean. I couldn't explain properly. xD

  3. Definitely crazy. What Bella has for Edward is lust, not love. And every teenage girl in the world wants to read it.

Do you watch any wedding shows, like "Say Yes to the Dress"?

Thanks! Meg Blizzard is my penname; I use it on Figment too.

  5. Yes, that's true :( the IMG html tag doesn't work in comments.

Thanks, anyway! It was a brainstorm that didn't require much work, I suppose. I was in the shower, singing "Cyanide" when the idea came to me and I started thinking about what rhymed with angels.

Yes, there's a show like that. I think wedding shows are absolute !%#@ because honestly? They're making a show about wedding dresses? Oh, I thought that was real life, not TV.

I have no idea what a chick lit book is, let alone Shopaholic. xD
